Scientific Committee for the 3rd General Assembly and Conference meets in Nairobi,18th-19th June 2009 |
The Scientific Committee comprised the AFRICOM President,Mrs Deirdre Prins-Solani, AFRICOM Executive Director, Dr Rudo Sithole and a highly refined team of heritage profesionals and Scientists who represented the diverse sphere and regions of AFRICOM activities in Africa.
They included; professor Akin Ige representing West Africa, Dr Kwame Labi West Africa, Dr Godfrey Mahachi, Southern Africa, Mr Ech Cherki Dahmali, North Africa, professor Oumarou Nao for host country Burkina Faso,Dr Rahmota Pavitranand and Ms Freda Nkirote for Eastern Africa.
Key issues addressed in deliberation for the conference theme and sub-themes was for the conference to be a celebration of what has been achieved and not achieved as well as present an opportunity to articulate positive ideas towards the security of African heritage.
