MuseumDepot Training Session
In
February AFRICOM hosted Mr. Cees List & Mr.
Floris Guntenaar from MuseumDepot
Foundation of the Netherlands who conducted
a training session on the use of MuseumD-System,
a digital object and collection management software.
The
4 days training session that run from the 7th
to the 10th of February 2005 brought together
6 participants from AFRICOM and 4 from different
departments within the National Museum of Kenya.
Each participant got an opportunity to work
with the software and to make suggestions on
changes that they felt would make it suitable
for their needs.
MuseumDepot
then undertook the responsibility to incorporate
the recommendations into the software and produce
4 generic versions of MuseumD, which will be
sent to the participants.
