AFRICOM projects
and activities involve all regions on the
continent and professionals at all levels.
Activities and outputs are for both English-speaking
and French-speaking countries and AFRICOM
is also committed to serve the Portuguese-
and Arabic-speaking communities while, at
the same time, opening up to the many other
living languages of Africa.
Timeframe
Institutional activities
such as updating the AFRICOM Database and
serving the membership are ongoing. The Internship
Programme has already begun but is undergoing
some revisions. A number of activities are
in the early development stage. Some activities
are being integrated into larger programmes
which could be long-term, extending over several
programme periods.
Human Resources
The existing AFRICOM
staff are fully implicated in the 2004-2006
Programme and staff responsibilities have
been outlined. Many of the activities will
require additional resources for which consultant
expertise has been quantified.
